Setting up your card
The setup page is for you only, as the sender. It's where you configure what the recipient experiences: choose a prize, write a message, set a language, or add a personal note depending on the card type. Once you've set it up, you get the recipient link to share.
No. Once you confirm, the card locks permanently. There's a short window before it locks where you can change your mind. Pay attention to the confirmation step. If you realise you've made a mistake before the recipient has scratched, contact us and we'll see what we can do.
After setup, you'll see the recipient link. It starts with /open/. Send that link, not your setup link. The /open/ page gives the recipient a proper intro screen and guidance on opening in a real browser if needed.
Go to chiccanto.com/activate/ and enter your activation code again. It will take you straight back to your setup page with your recipient link.
Scratching the card
This almost always happens when the link is opened inside Messenger or Instagram. Their built-in browsers block the scratch interaction. Tap the menu (··· on iOS, ⋮ on Android) and choose Open in browser. Or copy the link and paste it into Safari or Chrome.
The sender hasn't finished setup yet. Ask them to open their setup link, complete their choices, and then send you the recipient link. You may have been sent the setup link by mistake. The recipient link starts with /open/.
Yes, that's where most people use it. Open the link in Safari or Chrome for the best experience. Avoid in-app browsers (Messenger, Instagram, Facebook).
Scratch progress is saved automatically as you scratch. If it appears to reset, it's likely because the card was opened in an in-app browser that clears state on close. Open the same link in Safari or Chrome and your progress should be there.
Yes. The setup page includes a "Try scratch yourself" button so you can experience the card exactly as the recipient will, before locking anything. Nothing is saved during the preview.
